Becky Blake Bio

You will probably recognise Becky Blake as Miss Candy Bar and other characters from Australia’s greatest show band, Chunky Custard, entertaining audiences internationally. Becky is also known as the Piano Chick, performing her own critically acclaimed cabaret shows at theatres and to rave reviews at the Adelaide Fringe and Cabaret Fringe Festivals, winning a Fringe award for Best Cabaret.

Becky is a classically trained pianist and vocalist and produces and performs in floor shows, comedy acts, duos and trios internationally for corporate and charity events and is a cruise ship favourite. Memorable performances include the Grand Prix Ball and Variety events, Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Concert, the Ted Whitton Foundation luncheon and Carols by Candlelight, sharing the stage with the likes of Kate Cebrano and the Advertiser/Sunday Mail foundation Clipsal Ladies Luncheon, at which she performed three days after giving birth to her first baby.  Her new venture, Becky and the Gents, is a funky, groovy, cool and sophisticated four-piece live band perfect for any occasion.  Becky is also a qualified marriage and funeral celebrant.

What not many people know about Becky is that she is director of a second business, running a mentoring and therapy business for children with learning and behaviour difficulties and adults with ADHD, employing five people and improving the lives of thousands.

Becky is a beach dweller, runner and hot yoga enthusiast and loves to cook and entertain her friends at home. Becky has been married to her Chunky Custard co-star, Blakey, for nearly 26 years and they have two beautiful teenage daughters, Chelsea and Ashley, who are also musically talented.
