Becky Blake has enjoyed colourful career, working internationally in various duos and floorshows and has had the opportunity to perform at some of Australia’s best venues with popular show band “Chunky Custard”.   She has performed her own cabaret shows, as “The Piano Chick”, to rave reviews at the Adelaide Fringe and Cabaret Festivals, winning the weekly award for Best Cabaret in 2017.

Becky started her musical training at four, winning scholarships to Brighton High School, where she was taught by the legendary Jeffrey Kong and Adelaide University, studying under internationally renowned concert pianist Clemens Leske.  She launched her solo career, working at international hotels around her hometown of Adelaide and the eastern seaboard. 

Becky has performed as feature artist at events such as the Grand Prix Ball, Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Concert and Carols by Candlelight, sharing the stage with the likes of Kate Cebrano.   Becky also hosted HQ nightclub’s retro night for 5 years and enjoyed a lengthy residency performing floorshows at the Adelaide Casino. In 1994 she toured South East Asia at Shangri-La Resorts with duo “Nothing But Red”, receiving continual media attention. 


In 2001, Becky joined internationally renowned show band“ Chunky Custard” as blonde bombshellMiss Candy Bar and various other characters, ( performing at many prestigious venues including Twin Towns RSL, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Jupiter’s Casino, Hayman Island Resort, Auckland’s Rendezvous Hotel and the Sydney showgrounds.  She married her co-singer in Chunky Custard, Ian Blake, in 1997. 

Becky also performed with glamorous floorshow “Motown Dream”, which saw her sing at the Variety Ball, Ted Whitton Foundation luncheon in Melbourne and the Advertiser/Sunday Mail foundation Clipsal Ladies Luncheon, at which she performed three days after giving birth to her first baby. 

More recently, Becky launched her solo cabaret show, Confessions of a Piano Chick, winning a weekly Fringe award for Best Cabaret and five star reviews. She performs floorshows for Ding Productions, including after the Big Bash Cricket Series on Adelaide Oval on New Year’s Eve accompanied by a supporting cast of over 200.  She has also performed as piano bar soloist on Carnival Cruises, internationally.

Becky continues to perform as a soloist, with Chunky Custard, and with her cabaret shows and floor shows. Becky also provides voiceovers and works as an actor, host and MC at events. Becky is proud of being a “cultural casserole”, as a descendant from Spanish/Filipino, German, Scottish and Aboriginal heritage and is involved in ambassadorial roles in several of these communities.  She is Mum to two beautiful daughters, Chelsea aged 10 and Ashley aged 6. 

Becky is excited to launch her newest cabaret show, “Carole, Carly, Joni” for the 2017 Cabaret Fringe Festival.
